T20 World Cup 2009: India Won the Warm Up Match against Pakistan
A cricket match between India and Pakistan is always seen as a high voltage game and todays match did not reach that level as India outplayed Pakistan and won the match easily . The match was a total sell out and there were many people waiting for tickets out side the Oval , inspite of this being a Warm Up Match .
Having won the Toss , Pakistan opted to bat . They lost Shahzaib Hasan in the first over to Pravin Kumar with out any score on his name . The other opener Ahmed Shehzad played sensibly and Kamran Akmal started with boundaries .When things looked good for Pakistan Scoring 45 of 4.3 overs , they lost 3 quick wickets of Akmal ,Shehzad and Shahid Afirdi . With a decent Knock from Younis Khan and Contributions from Misbah-ul-Haq , Shoaib Malik and Yasir Arafat took them to 158/6 in 20 Overs which looked like a defending score .
The Indian Innings went on well right from the start and the man of the day for India is Rohit sharma who scored 80 in 53 balls with 9 fours and 2 sixes . From the other end , Gambhir gave good support by scoring 52 of 47 balls . It was all an easy game for India who reached the score in just 17 overs with still having 9 wickets in hand . Pakistan changed their bowling order a bit which did not help them much . The pick of Pakistan bowlers was Mohammad Aamer who bowled 3 overs for 18 and took 1 wicket .
