Andhra CM Missing – Search going on for last 9 hrs
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Rajasekhar reddy Garu went missing today morning. He was on his way to Chittor from H. The chopper took off at 8.45 Am for chittor and at around 9.30 Am , it went missing in the Nallamala forest Area which is the strong hold of naxalites. The helicopter lost contact with Air Traffic Controller at the Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad at that time and since then there has not been any contact or information about the Chief Minister .
Rajasekhar was accompanied by his Principal Secretary S Subramanyam and Chief Security Officer A S C Wesley, heads for Chitoor district.
A high search operation is going on. A total of 11 helicopters were involved in the search and all of them returned back due to bad weather and light going down. 5000 CPRF personal are searching the massive forest area. And the whole police force of the district are in the search .
ISRO has also come in to act and is trying to use Radar Imaging Satellite to find the location of the missing chopper which might not be much useful. The state govt is also trying to get the help of United States Defense Department help in scanning the whole area.The Indian Air Force has deployed a Sukhoi fighter jet with on-board radar for high resolution which will be in the search operation tonight. The Army is sending 500 commandos of its Special Force “Ghatak”, who are specially trained in the jungle warfare.
In the state , every one are praying for his safe return. The opposition leaders Chandrababu naidu and Chiranjeevi held press meet to express there prayers for the chief Minister. K. Rosiah , the state finance minister has asked for Public help in locating the CM .
