Adavi/Agyaat Movie Review
Ram Gopal Varma movies ki vellali antey koncham dhairyam vundali. Not only in terms of Horror, but also to see the twists he give. This horror flick by Varma has nothing new to offer and has the same old routine story. Being the first Hindi direct release film for Nitin, the film had good expectations in Telugu.
The movie starts with shooting unit deciding to stay in a forest and due to some camera problem, the shooting will get extended. The shooting unit has the assistant director (nitin), heroine Asha (priyanka kothari), hero (gautham), producer Murthy (ishrat), director JJ (harvey), spot boy Laxman (ishteyak) , forest guide Sethu (joy), stunt master Rakka (Ravi kale), and Sameera (Rasika). The forest guide Sethu who knows the forest well will be found dead the next day morning. One by one, the members of the team will be killed and the team believes that an unknown evil is killing them. As a result of this, the unit starts blaming each other and fight among each other. Assistant director Nitin will be saving the heroine when ever she is in trouble. The film ends with a bad taste leaving the hero and heroine in the midst of the Jungle and making the viewers wait for the second Part,i.e.,for the Sequel.
Nitin gives an average performance . He has tuned up his body well and is good at dances. Nisha Kothari is hot and does lot of exposing in the movie. The only thing we see in the film is the Camera Work and Nisha Kothari. Ishrat Ali character of Murthy was entertaining for a while and the rest was ok.
Coming to the technical aspects of the film, the background score is good. Story of the film is weak and the screenplay does not add much to the film. Camera Work, cinematography were good. Direction of the film was ok. As the script was weak, the director had to depend more on the technical departments, but was not able to generate enough curiosity among the audience.
Over all the film is just an average flick and might not satisfy even the limited horror flick based audience.
